At 31 years old, Whitney Wolfe Herd is the Founder and the Chief Executive Officer of Bumble, the world's largest combined social and dating application. In 2012, the entrepreneur co-founded Tinder (Whitney knows the swipe better than anyone). She left the company and filed a lawsuit for sexual harassment and discrimination. In response, Tinder managed to deny any wrongdoing and the parties eventually settled.
Whitney went on to found Bumble in December of 2014, she did not waste a single second wow. Bumble is now estimated to be worth more than $3 billion (Whitney herself has a net worth of approximately $575 million, fuck).
"When I founded Bumble, it was because I saw a problem I wanted to help solve. It was 2014, but so many of the smart, wonderful women in my life were still waiting around for men to ask them out, to take their numbers, or to start up a conversation on a dating app. For all the advances women had been making in workplaces and corridors of power, the gender dynamics of dating and romance still seemed so outdated. I thought, what if I could flip that on its head? What if women made the first move, and sent the first message?"

Fun fact: Bumble has a venture fund dedicated to investing in women founders, Serena Williams is a co-investor.
